The 2nd Graduation Ceremony of BGMEA Institute of Fashion and Technology (BIFT) was held at the International Convention City Bashundhara on 13 October.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid attended the ceremony as the chief guest while Vice Chancellor of National University Prof. Dr. Harun-or-Rashid, BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman, former BGMEA Presidents Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin) and Md. Atiqul Islam, and BGMEA Senior Vice President Faruque Hassan  were present as the special guests.
Major (Retd.) Abdul Mannan, Chairman of Sunman Group, addressed the program as the Graduation Ceremony Speaker.

Muzaffar U. Siddique, Founder Chairman of Board of Trustees, BUFT, chaired the ceremony while Abdus Salam Murshedy, Member of Board of Trustees, BUFT was the convener of the program.

A total of 962 graduates were conferred degrees at the ceremony which was organized by BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT).
In his address to the graduates, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said that a good number of foreign professionals are still working in the RMG sector. He expressed his hope that the BUFT students will take place of the foreign professionals and contribute to the industry with skills and expertise.

BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman said that the graduates will play a significant role in achieving the vision of $50 billion of RMG exports in 2021.  He also expressed his hope that BUFT will carry out research, especially on design and product development, which will be instrumental in attaining the vision.

BGMEA Vice President SM Mannan (Kochi), Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir, Vice President Mahmud Hasan Khan (Babu), BUFT Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Masud Husain, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, BGMEA Board of Directors, Members, entrepreneurs and other dignitaries were present at the 2nd Graduation Ceremony of BIFT.
