BGMEA and the Netherlands Embassy in Dhaka jointly organized a study tour to the Netherlands for the Fellows of the BGMEA-BUFT Journalism Fellowship program.
BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman announced this at a press conference at BGMEA on February 1.
The study tour styled “Influentials Programme for Bangladesh: Garment Industry and Journalism” will take place from 6-8 February 2017 in Amsterdam and Hague, he informed.
The study tour aims to sharpen the knowledge and skills of the Fellows by providing them the opportunity to learn about business journalism and journalism ethics so that they can contribute to the development of Bangladesh, particularly the RMG industry, with their professional performance.
The Fellows have an opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the Dutch media and enhance their professional skills through exchange of views with the journalists, BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir said at the press conference.
BGMEA Senior Vice President Faruque Hassan and Vice Present SM Mannan (Kochi), three mentors – CEO of ETV Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul, , Editor of Bhorer Kagoj Shyamol Dutta and Director, News of Ekattor TV Syed Ishtique Reza were also present on the occasion.
