Safina Rahman, Chairperson of the BGMEA Standing Committee on Health Care, visited the Hemayetpur and Konabari Health Centers operated by BGMEA.

On 26 October 2025, during her visit to Hemayetpur Health Center, she was accompanied by the newly appointed chairman Nur Mohammad and former chairman Omar Faruq. Safina Rahman exchanged greetings with the health center’s staff and employees and discussed medical services, staffing, the number of factories in the area, medicine distribution systems, monthly expenditures, and the advantages and challenges of ongoing operations. She also met with officials involved in tuberculosis control activities and inquired about the challenges they face in their work.

Subsequently, Safina Rahman visited the Konabari Health Center, accompanied by the center’s co-chairman Mirza Enayet Hossain. She spoke with the staff and employees, reviewing medical facilities, staffing, the number of local factories, medicine distribution processes, patient types, and monthly activities in detail. She was also briefed on tuberculosis treatment and prevention programs at the center.

BGMEA believes that providing affordable and quality healthcare for workers is a crucial part of sustainable industrial development, and this visit continues that effort.
