BGMEA First Vice President Moinuddin Ahmed, Senior Vice President Faruque Hassan, Vice President Mahmud Hasan Khan (Babu) and Director Miran Ali took part in separate technical sessions in the Dhaka Summit on Skills, Employability and Decent Work where they discussed strategies for addressing the issues of skilled workforce and decent employment.
While expressing their opinions the BGMEA leaders laid the importance of utilizing demographic surplus of Bangladesh as a major strength to drive the economy forward. They opined that short-, medium- and long-term plans are needed to meet the demand of skilled human resources.

They also gave emphasis on market monitoring, trends forecasting and accordingly taking strategies for skills development to meet present and future demands of skilled workforce in different sectors, including the apparel industry.
