BGMEA President Faruque Hassan paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Md Akbar Hossain, Commandant, National Defence College (NDC) in Dhaka on May 25.
The topics of discussion between them included the current situation of the RMG industry, its present and future challenges and the opportunities that lie ahead.
During the meeting with the General, the BGMEA President shared how the RMG industry has grown from scratches to become the mainstay of Bangladesh’s economy while highlighting its significant contribution to the socioeconomic development of Bangladesh.
He also illustrated why the sector’s role in accelerating the development of Bangladesh in the coming days has become more important than ever.
Faruque Hassan requested Lieutenant General Md Akbar Hossain to offer RMG entrepreneurs Capstone Course at the National Defence College to enhance their knowledge and widen understanding of challenges to national development.
He also invited the faculties and trainees of NDC to visit BGMEA and garment factories if they want to have understanding of the RMG industry, especially good practices in the sector.
