BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman inaugurated an outlet of local retail fashion brand ‘Plaire’ at House-5, Block-G, Banani-11, Dhaka on 13 November.
The BGMEA President was present as Chief Guest at the opening of the maiden local outlet of the renowned Bangladeshi RMG conglomerate Sayem Group while Vice President (Finance) of BGMEA Mohammed Nasir was the Special Guest on the occasion.
Md. Siddiqur Rahman said that Bangladesh is a leader in global RMG export so Bangladeshi brands are really able to offer the local consumers fashion products of highest quality and international standard. “The local brands have huge potential to grow in the country as well as do brisk business as Bangladesh is now a lower-middle income country”, he added.
Chairman of Sayem Group and the fashion outlet ‘Plaire’ Monir Hossain, Abrar H. Sayem, Managing Director of ‘Plaire’ and also a Director of  Sayem Group, BGMEA Director Md. Ashikur Rahman (Tuhin), and star bowler of Bangladesh National Cricket Team Taskin Ahmed, among others, were also present at the inauguration which was followed by a colorful fashion show.
