Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has been awarded WCO Certificate of Merit for rendering exceptional service to international customs community.
BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman received the Certificate from Honorable Finance Minister AMA Muhith at a program held on the occasion of International Customs Day-2016at the Officers’ Club   on 26 January.

Bangladesh observed the Day under the auspices of the World Customs Organization (WCO) with the theme “Digital Customs: Progressive Engagement” this year.
A total of 20 revenue officials and five others stakeholders were awarded the WCO Certificate of Merit in recognition of their contribution to their respective fields.
Honorable Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, MP, Honorable Economic Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister Dr. Mashiur Rahman,NBR Chairman M Nojibur Rahman, and FBCCI President NBR Chairman M Nojibur Rahman, among others, were present at the program.
