Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has castigated the recent report of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) on Bangladesh RMG terming it false, flawed and ill-motivated at a press conference held at BGMEA Complex today.
The BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman said in the press conference that when the country is moving forward and the sector has turned  around overcoming the tragedies of Tazreen and Rana Plaza, and the recent political turmoil; publishing such a false report at that time is really disappointing.
The BGMEA President requested all the stakeholders of RMG to investigate the motives behind the report.
Vice President (Finance) of BGMEA Mohammed Nasir, Vice Presidents Mahmud Hasan Khan (Babu) and Ferdous Perves Bivon, and Directors of BGMEA were also present at the press conference.
