BGMEA Leaders led by its President Md. Siddiqur Rahman held a meeting with Ambassador of the Netherlands H.E. Leoni Margaretha Cuelenaere at her residence on 21 March.
BGMEA Senior Vice President Faruque Hassan, Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir, and Director Md. Ashikur Rahman (Tuhin) also attended the meeting where Country Director of ILO, Bangladesh, Srinivas B. Reddy, Executive Director of the Accord Rob Wayss, Dhyana Van Der Pols and Hugo Verhoeven of Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI), among others, were present.
They had a discussion on sustainable RMG industry and how the Netherlands and Bangladesh can work together to achieve the export target sustainably.
At the meeting, the Dutch Embassy in Bangladesh reiterated their commitment to continue their support to the development of the industry.
