
The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) organized a Doa Mahfil at its Chattogram office to offer prayers for the victims of the recent Bangladesh Air Force plane crash on the Milestone School and College campus in Uttara on July 22. The ceremony was held to seek eternal peace for those who lost their lives and to pray for the swift recovery of the injured.
Speaking at the event, BGMEA Director Mohammed Abdus Salam expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident, stating, “This is a profoundly heartbreaking event. The entire BGMEA family is deeply shocked and mourns this loss. We pray to Almighty Allah to prevent such tragedies in the future.”
The program was presided over by Kazi Shafiqur Islam Tutul, Chairman of BGMEA’s Religious Affairs Committee. BGMEA Directors Md. M. Mohiuddin Chowdhury and Enamul Aziz Chowdhury, along with former BGMEA Director Khandaker Belayet Hossain.
Also in attendance were former BGMEA Director Mohammad Atiq, Managing Director of K Garments Bijoy Shekhar Dash, Director of Maggie & Liz Corporation Anwarul Karim, as well as BGMEA members, officials, and staff.
