BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) debate team has become champion in "ATN Bangla Public Parliament Debate Competition-2015" by defeating Dhaka International University recently.

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed was present as chief guest at the final event held at the ATN Studio in the capital.

The topic of the debate was "Violence free politics only can transform Bangladesh into a mid-income nation". BUFT team took their position in favour of the theme as the government party.

Md. Atiqul Islam, President of BGMEA and Member of the Board of Trustees of BUFT, Muzaffar U. Siddique, Founder Chairman, Board of Trustees, BUFT, Reaz-Bin-Mahmood, Vice-President (Finance) of BGMEA and Vice Chairman (Admin) of BUFT, Prof. Dr. Syed Masud Husain, Vice Chancellor, BUFT, and Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiron, Chairperson, Debate for Democracy, among others, were present at the program.
