Bangladesh has set the Guinness World record for most people singing the national anthem simultaneously.
Guinness on Wednesday confirmed the rare achievement two weeks after 254,537 people sang ‘Sonar Bangla’ together at the National Parade Square on the Independence Day.
The event ‘Lakho Konthe Sonar Bangla’ was organised by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs in association with the Bangladesh Army.
A significant number of garment workers participated in the record-making event.
The staff of Sahara India Pariwar made the previous record when 121,653 employees sang ‘Jana Gana Mana’ in May, 2013.
