Designtex Group has donated face masks to the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) to distribute them among people for protection against Covid-19.

On behalf of Designtex Group its Director Md Fazle Elahi handed over 20 thousand face masks to BGMEA President Faruque Hassan in Dhaka on January 10.

In the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, BGMEA has continued donating face masks to frontliners including doctors, nurses, hospital workers, law enforcement agencies, journalists and many other emergency service providers. The trade association has also donated medical equipment and medicines to hospitals. 

Faruque Hassan thanked Designtex Group for coming forward to donate the face masks, a crucial element for controlling Coronavirus infection.

He hoped that other apparel manufacturers would follow this initiative and make similar contributions to curb the spread of the Covid-19. 

The BGMEA President urged all people, including entrepreneurs and workers of garment factories, to follow the health safety guidelines including wearing face mask and get vaccinated.
