An export coaching session conducted by the CBI, an agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, was held at BGMEA Complex on 8 February 2014.
The CBI held the session as part of its Export Coaching Program which is designed to assist the Bangladesh garment sector to develop exports into higher segments, improve its image on the EU market and contribute to a higher degree of compliance.
CBI’s garments expert Dhyana van der Pols and Hugo Verhoeven of CBI conducted the session which was attended by a number of garment factory owners of the country.
The Officer Bearers of BGMEA, including its President Md. Atiqul Islam, were also present at the event.
The key focus areas of the Export Coaching Program are providing export coaching and training to garment manufactures, developing an export marketing/branding strategy focused on improving the image of the Bangladeshi garment sector, and strengthening relevant export services such as EU market information, sourcing expertise and professionalizing trade fair participation.
