An international seminar on “Transformation Challenges and Opportunities for Bangladesh Garment Industry” organized by SouthAsia Institute of Harvard University was held at the university.

BGMEA Vice President Md. Shahidullah Azim addressed a session of the seminar titled “Charting the Path to 2018 - the future of the RMG sector in Bangladesh”.
Labor Secretary of Bangladesh Government MikailShipar; Rob Wayss, Executive Director, Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh; Susanne Hoffmann, Director General of Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, German Federal Government; Mara Burr, Senior Vice President, Albright Stonebridge Group; Michael O'Donovan, Bureau of Int'l Labor Affairs, U.S. Department of Labor took part in the session.
