A road-show program was inaugurated in Dhaka on 20 January to promote investment and economic zones in Bangladesh.
Principal Secretary to Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Mohammed Abul Kalam Azad attended the program as chief guest while BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman was present as special guest.
Senior Secretary of the Finance Division Mahbub Ahmed and Secretary to Prime Minister’s Office Suraiya Begum, ndc, also took part in the road show program as special guests.  Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) Paban Chowdhury chaired the program.
In his address BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahm thanked the government for its initiative to set up 100 new economic zones in different areas of the country.
He said the economic zones will bring more investment and create employment, thus accelerating economic growth of Bangladesh.
The BGMEA President urged both local and foreign investors to take the opportunity and invest in Bangladesh.
