A trade dispute between a garment exporting factory and a freight forwarder was resolved with the mediation of BGMEA.

Representatives of both companies -- Banga Fashion Limited, and Expo Freight Limited signed the agreement in the presence of BGMEA President Dr. Rubana Huq.

The factory had been suffering for last four years and in a landmark mediation by BGMEA - they will get compensated by the freight forwarder.

This is another example of current BGMEA trying to actively stand by each member irrespective of how difficult or critical the situation is.

The negotiation is significant as it has set a precedent for other similar cases where freight forwarding companies will be cautious about taking any actions that go against business terms and conditions.

BGMEA Senior Vice President Faisal Samad, ABM Shamsuddin, former vice-president of BGMEA and Chairman of Hannan Group, and Chairperson of BGMEA Standing Committee on Branding Mijanur Rahman were also present on the occasion.
