Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) organized a view exchange meeting with visiting Member of European Parliament Sajjad Karim on August 8.

BGMEA President Md. Atiqul Islam chaired the meeting while BGMEA Vice President Md. Shahidullah Azim and Vice President (Finance) Reaz Bin Mahmood were present.

The BGMEA President presented the current condition of RMG industry and the steps taken by industry to ensure workers’ safety.
Sajjad Karim, MEP, lauded the progress Bangladesh made in terms workplace safety.

Pierre Mayaudon, EU Ambassador and Head of Delegation to Bangladesh, was also present at the meeting.
