Md. Atiqul Islam has been elected President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA)  for the year 2013-2014.
Among other elected members, Nasiruddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Managing Director of Frank Apparels Limited, has been elected First Vice-President and Mr. S.M. Mannan (Kochi) of Managing Director, Seha Design (BD) Ltd., Second Vice-President.
Md. Shahidullah Azim Managing Director, Classic Fashion Concept Ltd., has been elected Vice-President and Mr. Reaz-Bin-Mahmood (Sumon), Managing Director, La-Belle Group, also got the post of Vice-President for finance.
The new committee will take over charge after the BGMEA`s annual general meeting to be held on March 25.
