Speakers at a roundtable discussion laid the emphasis on taking pragmatic policy and steps to ensure energy security for Bangladesh to facilitate the country’s ongoing development.
The discussion styled 'Energy Security and Vision 2041' was organized by the Daily Sun at East West Media Group Limited (EWMGL) conference room in the capital on 8 August.
State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid attended the discussion as the chief guest.
FBCCI President Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin) and BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir, among others, took part in the roundtable as discussants.
Mohammad Hossain, Director General, Power Cell, Power Division, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, presented the keynote paper at the program.
Former Energy Advisor to the Caretaker Government Professor M Tamim and Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board Chairman Major General Moin Uddin were also present there.
