The Skill for Employment Investment Program (SEIP) was launched to produce skilled workforce for the RMG industry.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith was present as chief guest in the launching ceremony held at Hotel Sonargaon on 14 September.

Both new entrants and existing workforce from factories will be trained under the program which is funded by Asian
Development Bank (ADB) and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by the Ministry of Finance.

Under the project initially in total 43,800 workforce will be trained in three years with job placement in RMG factories.

Incoming President of BGMEA Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Acting President of BGMEA SM Mannan (Kochi), Vice President Md. Shahidullah Azim, Vice President (Finance) Reaz Bin Mahmood, former PresidentsAbdus Salam Murshedy and Shafiul Islam were present at the program.

Jalal Ahmed, Additional Secretary, the Ministry of Finance, and National Project Director, SEIP, was also present on the occasion.
