BGMEA President Faruque Hassan urged all people to work unitedly for the cause of national interests and build a happier and more prosperous Bangladesh.
He also requested generous and affluent section of society to come forward and help poor people to alleviate their sufferings from cold during the winter season.
Faruque Hassan made remarks while addressing winter clothes distribution program at Zarina Shikder Girls High School and College, and also at Hajaribagh Park in Dhaka on January 8.
Honorable State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, MP was present as chief guest.
Former President of BGMEA Md. Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, MP presided over the winter clothing distribution program.
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan said it's the social responsibility of all of us to stand beside poor people in their need.
“While addressing the numerous challenges we all face today, it is important that we continue working together for the betterment of Bangladesh and its people,” he said.
It’s the unity of people that helped Bangladesh to rise from the rubbles of war and become a model of development in the word, he further said.
“We have to continue our march forward and no one should leave behind,” he added.
Faruque Hassan thanked the members of BGMEA who donated warm clothes for distribution among the poor people.
He requested other members to come forward with winter clothing for needy people.
The BGMEA President also donated 10 thousand face masks for distribution among people.
He requested all to follow health safety protocol, especially wearing face masks to reduce the risk of Covid-19 infection and spread.
