Textile Technology Business Centre (TTBC) was launched at BGMEA on Wednesday.
The centre was set up by the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands (EKN) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and is part of the Partnership for Cleaner Textiles (PaCT) program.
Martine van Hoogstraten, Deputy Head of Mission, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Dhaka, Bastiaan Mohrmann, Strategic Advisor & Chair Steering Committee, Bangladesh Water PaCT, Frans Verspeek, Senior Adviser, Bangladesh Water PaCT, Carel de Groot, First Secretary Water Resource Management, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Dhaka, Mrinal Sircar, Program Manager, PaCT, IFC, and Marieke Weerdesteijn, Senior Program Manager at Solidaridad Network were present at inaugural ceremony.
Md. Shahidullah Azim, Vice President of BGMEA and Faruque Hassan, former Vice President of BGMEA, were also present at the event.
Housed within the offices of the BGMEA, the TTBC supports textile and RMG factories in adopting best practices and technologies that improve environmental sustainability.
