A workshop on 'Practical Aspects of Productivity Improvement' was organized by Reed Consulting Bangladesh Ltd. at a hotel in Dhaka on 19 January.
Acting President of BGMEA Faruque Hassan attended the workshop as chief guest.
While speaking at the program he said that it is very important to enhance productivity in the RMG industry to reach the target of 50 billion dollar from apparel exports.
BGMEA signed a MoU with Dansk Fashion and Textile to improve CSR and productivity in the value chain alongside improving working and living conditions of workers in the Bangladeshi garment and textile sector through a pilot project named “The Step Up”, he added.
Philip Proctor, Managing Director, Reed Consulting Bangladesh and Dr. Mohammad Abbas Uddin, Principal Engineering Consultant, among others, were present at the workshop.
