An appreciation ceremony honoring the organizations and stakeholders who contributed to the successful implementation of the “Festive Sale” program, initiated by the Deputy Commissioner, Chattogram on the occasion of Holy Eid-ul-Azha, was held on 27 June 2026 at the Circuit House, Chattogram.
Divisional Commissioner, Chattogram Dr. Md. Ziauddin attended the event as the Chief Guest.
Representing BGMEA, Director Enamul Aziz Chowdhury attended the program. In his speech, he warmly welcomed this timely and public welfare-oriented initiative of the Deputy Commissioner, Chattogram. He said that festive sales are a recognized and successful initiative in many countries around the world. This year, the initiative was implemented for the first time in Chattogram under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner, which benefited general consumers as well as workers of the apparel industry.
He expressed hope that the initiative would continue in the future. He further stated that BGMEA will always stand beside the Deputy Commissioner, Chattogram in any humanitarian, people-friendly, and business-friendly initiatives and extend necessary cooperation.
In his speech, the Deputy Commissioner, Chattogram said that the successful implementation of the first-ever “Festive Sale” program was made possible through the sincere cooperation of government agencies, business organizations, media, and all relevant stakeholders. He expressed his gratitude to everyone for their support.
At the concluding session of the event, in recognition of his contribution to the successful implementation of the “Festive Sale” program, the Deputy Commissioner, Chattogram handed over an appreciation crest to BGMEA Director Enamul Aziz Chowdhury.
