A meeting of the Project Implementation Committee was held on June 16 at the NBR office in Agargaon, Dhaka, to review the progress and implementation-related aspects of the National Single Window (NSW) project, being implemented under the National Board of Revenue (NBR), aimed at making Bangladesh’s import-export activities faster, more transparent, and paperless.

Representing BGMEA at the meeting, Director of BGMEA Kazi Mizanur Rahman highlighted the importance of the speedy and effective implementation of NSW to support the export-oriented ready-made garment industry. He urged ensuring a simple, transparent, and time-efficient process for user organizations.

During the meeting, he placed several important recommendations, including full integration of ASYCUDA and NSW, ensuring faster online issuance of CLPIA and other licenses/certificates, setting a specific timeframe for issuing Re-export Certificates, introducing training programs and helpdesk facilities for businesses, regularly incorporating private sector feedback, and ensuring system stability and data security.

He stated that BGMEA is ready to provide all-out support to NBR’s initiative for business facilitation and national interest. He also emphasized giving due importance to business realities and user needs at every stage of the implementation process.
