A significant discussion on the country’s economy, investment climate, employment generation, revenue mobilization, and effective budget implementation was held at the “Budget Dialogue 2026” organized by the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) on the proposed National Budget 2026–27.
The dialogue was attended by Hon’ble Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, MP; Hon’ble Planning State Minister Zonayed Abdur Rahim Saki, MP; Akhter Hossen, MP; Executive Chairman of Power and Participation Research Centre (PPRC) Dr. Hossain Zillur Rahman; Executive Director of CPD Dr. Fahmida Khatun, along with distinguished policymakers, economists, business leaders, and development experts who shared their views.
BGMEA Senior Vice President Inamul Haq Khan participated in the dialogue. In his remarks, he highlighted various positive measures taken in the proposed budget to strengthen industrialization, export growth, and an investment-friendly environment. He also emphasized the importance of effective implementation, policy consistency, and enhancing the capacity of the private sector to ensure the full benefits of these initiatives.
