A meeting of the UD Verification and Support Committee was held on 28 September 2026 at the initiative of the Customs Bond Commissionerate, Dhaka (South). Director of BGMEA Kazi Mizanur Rahman represented BGMEA at the meeting.

The meeting discussed the delivery of goods against Utilization Declarations (UDs). It also proposed taking necessary measures in accordance with the prevailing rules and regulations in cases involving UDs without HS codes.

During the meeting, Kazi Mizanur Rahman urged the concerned authorities to ensure proper adherence to the necessary rules and procedures in conducting UD verification and audit activities, while also ensuring that garment exporters do not face any undue harassment or unnecessary complications.

He said that, in the current challenging times, it is essential to maintain a balance between monitoring and support and ensure a business-friendly environment so that the normal operations of the readymade garment industry can continue uninterrupted.
