 Dear Honb’le Members,

We would like to inform you that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between BGMEA and Prime Insurance Company Limited on December 31, 2013. The purpose of the MoU is to provide free consultation on insurance business among the members of BGMEA.

BGMEA noticed that lots of owners in RMG Sector had lost huge amount of capital and investment because of lack of information, knowledge, support, guideline and experience about Insurance. In this light, BGMEA feels that there is a need to educate and provide proper knowledge about Insurance and service among all the members of BGMEA for the safeguard of property, asset, investment and life.

In this connection, with an aim to create awareness on General Insurance Practice among the members, BGMEA signed this MoU with Prime Insurance Company. As per the MoU, Prime Insurance will provide free consultancy on insurance business under the following Insurance areas:

a.      Fire Insurance

b.      Marine Cargo

c.       Marine Hull

d.      Engineering Insurance

e.      Industrial All Risk

f.        Health Insurance

To avail this consultancy service, Prime Insurance introduced a unique email address: insurance.doctor@prime-insurance.net. Members of BGMEA can send any type of queries on the above mentioned Insurance subject to this email address. After receiving the queries, Prime Insurance Company will reply at the shortest possible time. Besides, under the MoU Prime Insurance Company will arrange seminar, workshop and training program to develop the Insurance knowledge among the members of BGMEA.
