19th Textech Bangladesh International Expo begins

BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir stressed the need for moving from manual to high-tech machines to meet the requirement of the apparel industry which is increasingly shifting towards automated machines.
“It is very important for garment industry to be up-to-date in terms of machinery and technologies for retaining competiveness and enhancing productivity,” he said while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 19th Textech Bangladesh International Expo, 14th Dhaka International Yarn & Fabric Show and 33rd Dye+Chem Bangladesh Expo 2018 at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka on 12 September.
Honorable Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, attended the inaugural ceremony as chief guest.
Honorable State Minister for Textile and Jute Mirza Azam, MP, High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla, FBCCI President Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin) and Second Vice President of BKMEA Fazlee Shamim Ehsan were present as special guests.
CEMS-Global USA in association with CEMS Bangladesh jointly organized the event. Companies from different countries are participating in this exhibition to showcase the latest developments and emerging technology for the textile and garment industry.
