The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA) is organizing the 3rd BGMEA Cup Football Tournament.
Mid- and upper-managements of 16 garment factories of the country will compete in the 7-a-side inter-garments football tournament starting from 20 February.
BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman announced this at a press conference held at the Apparel Club of BGMEA Complex on 17 February.
BGMEA Senior Vice President Faruque Hassan, Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir, Directors Inamul Haq Khan (Bablu), Md. Monsurul Haque and K. Mahabub Uddin (Jewel) were  present at the press briefing.
16 renowned garment companies in Bangladesh will participate in the tournament. They are – Bando Design Ltd, Comfit Composite Knit Ltd, Epyllion Group, Ananta Group, Nassa Group, Majumder Group, Aspire Garments, Sterling Group, Versatile Group, Mehnaz Styles & Craft, Torque Fashions Ltd, Musk Trousers Ltd, Fortis Group, Self Innovative Fashion, Ali Garments, and Apparel Industries Ltd.
Title Sponsor of the football tournament is BBS Cables while SAILOR is the Co-Sponsor and Laila Group is the Associate Sponsor. Gold Sponsors of the tournaments are Dhaka Bank Ltd, Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd,  Jamuna Bank Ltd, Meredian Finance, and Daikin by Transcome. Silver Sponsors are Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd, Sterling Stocks & Securities, APLOS Global Ltd, BUFT, PORCELANOSA and NEO ZIPPER.
A-Z Event will run the tournament on behalf of BGMEA. Gazi TV is the media partner and International Turkish Hope School is the venue partner of the football tournament
The 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups and the group stage matches will be played at the International Turkish Hope School Astro-Turf ground. The final match of the football tournament will be held at the Army Stadium on 2 March, which will be telecast live on GTV.
