A delegation from Huawei Digital Power, led by Will Yu, Managing Director, South Asia Digital Power Business, paid a courtesy visit to BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan at BGMEA on April 13.

The meeting was attended by BGMEA Vice President Ms. Vidiya Amrit Khan, Director Ms. Sumaiya Islam, Chair, Standing Committee on Sustainable Energy Saifur Rahman Shapu, and Co-Chair, Standing Committee on Decarbonization Kamran Sadique. 

Huawei shared insights from their global experience in renewable energy solutions, particularly in solar and energy storage systems. 

BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan highlighted BGMEA's vision to accelerate renewable energy adoption across member factories, alongside ongoing policy advocacy on reducing duties on solar equipment and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Vice President Ms. Vidiya Amrit Khan emphasized the growing importance of renewable energy in the current global context and the need for collaborative approaches to scale up sustainable energy generation within the industry.

Huawei expressed its interest in supporting BGMEA through knowledge sharing and future collaboration, reinforcing a shared commitment toward a more sustainable and energy-efficient RMG sector.
