On 16 March, BGMEA Vice President Ms. Vidiya Amrit Khan had a meeting with PRAN-RFL group representatives led by Mr. Nure Alam, COO, Renewable Energy to discuss opportunities for accelerating the renewable energy transition among BGMEA member factories.

The discussion focused on potential collaboration to introduce affordable and scalable energy solutions including Rooftop Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Net-metering and access to Finance that can support the sector’s gradual shift toward cleaner and more efficient energy systems.

Ms. Vidiya Amrit Khan reiterated BGMEA’s vision for sustainable energy transition, emphasizing that adopting renewable energy is a critical step for the long-term resilience and environmental responsibility of Bangladesh’s RMG industry.

BGMEA looks forward to exploring collaborative pathways to support factories in integrating innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
