Anwar Hossain, Administrator of BGMEA, emphasized the need for increased investment in essential technology, advanced machinery, and a skilled workforce to enhance our industry’s competitiveness. 

He made the observation while addressing the opening ceremony of the 23rd Textech Bangladesh 2024 International Expo, the 22nd Dhaka International Yarn & Fabric Show 2024, and the 45th Dye+Chem Bangladesh 2024 International Expo held in Dhaka on November 6.

He pointed out the significant growth potential in the non-cotton segment, highlighting opportunities in man-made fibers, functional fabrics, and high-end garments. By embracing the latest technological innovations, we can boost productivity and efficiency while fulfilling our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments.

Anwar Hossain also stressed the importance of sustainability as reducing environmental footprint through eco-friendly technologies and materials is essential for a sustainable future.
