The Fellows of the BGMEA-BUFT Journalism Fellowship are visiting the Netherlands as part of their study tour, jointly organized by BGMEA and the Dutch Embassy in Dhaka.
During the study tour on “Garment Industry and Journalism” the Bangladesh Embassy in the Netherlands hosted a dinner for the Fellows, Mohammed Nasir, Vice President (Finance), BGMEA, and Mentors of the Fellowship program -- Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul, Editor-in-Chief & Chief Executive Officer, Ekushey Television; Shyamal Dutta, Editor, Daily Bhorer Kagoj; Syed Ishtique Reza, News of Ekattor TV .

Mohammad Nasir praised the Embassy’s role in promoting the bilateral trade and investment, especially garment exports from Bangladesh to the Netherlands.  He assured all-out cooperation of the BGMEA to the Embassy in this regard.

H.E. Sheikh Mohammed Belal, Bangladesh Ambassador in the Netherlands, informed the delegation about the activities undertaken by the Embassy to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries. The Ambassador said that Embassy will provide cooperation to Bangladeshi journalists if they want to pursue higher studies in journalism in the Netherlands.

The visiting Fellows are – Ibrahim Hossain, Staff Reporter, the Dhaka Tribune; Md Sharful Alam, Reporter, ATN Bangla; Mehedy Hasan Albakar, Senior Broadcast Journalist, Deepto TV; Mr. Md Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, Senior Staff Reporter, the Daily Jugantor; and Reyad Hossain, Reporter, the Daily Ittefaq.
