The Huawei presents BGMEA Cup 2026, powered by BURI was officially inaugurated at BGMEA Headquarters by the State Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr. Aminul Haque, alongside the leadership of BGMEA.

The occasion also celebrated the partnership between the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), united by a shared commitment to promoting sports and enhancing Bangladesh’s global image through the country’s garment industry and football.

The inauguration ceremony was chaired by BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan while BGMEA Director Shah Rayeed Chowdhury presented an overview of the BGMEA-BFF collaborative initiatives aimed at strengthening sports and showcasing Bangladesh on the international stage.

BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Mijanur Rahman and BFF Vice President Fahad Karim highlighted the significance of the partnership in advancing sports and promoting the country’s image globally. 

The day brought together sport, industry and a shared passion for Bangladesh, with the BGMEA Cup team auction also taking place, setting the stage for an exciting championship built on teamwork, sportsmanship and healthy competition.

Adding to the occasion, the BGMEA Auditorium hosted the first screening of the BGMEA x BFF OVC, following its launch on social media.

The OVC tells the story of two worlds brought together by a shared commitment to Bangladesh — from the factories that power our economy to the fields that inspire a nation. BGMEA and BFF come together with a common vision: creating opportunities, nurturing talent and carrying Bangladesh forward.
