In recognition of his significant contribution to maintaining stability in the garment industry and ensuring law and order in the industrial zone, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) accorded a reception to Abdullah Al Mahmud, the outgoing Superintendent of Police (SP) of Industrial Police-3, Chattogram.
The reception was held on Wednesday evening, 13 May 2026, at the BGMEA Chattogram Office.
Speaking at the event, Mohammad Rafique Chowdhury, Acting First Vice President of BGMEA, said, “Abdullah Al Mahmud worked with dedication and sincerity to ensure security in the industrial area. His professionalism in addressing industrial unrest, maintaining balance in labor-management relations, and preserving a stable environment in the sector was highly commendable.”
He further said that through close coordination with BGMEA, Abdullah Al Mahmud took timely initiatives to successfully address labor unrest and various unforeseen situations. On behalf of BGMEA and garment factory owners in Chattogram, he expressed sincere gratitude to him and wished him continued success in his future endeavors.
BGMEA Director Enamul Aziz Chowdhury said, “Your role has brought great pride to BGMEA.” He also congratulated Abdullah Al Mahmud on receiving the BPPM and PPM medals and wished him success in his new assignment.
Outgoing SP Abdullah Al Mahmud expressed his gratitude to BGMEA for the honor. He assured that Industrial Police would continue to extend cooperation in maintaining peace and discipline in the industrial sector in the future as well. He also appreciated the support extended by BGMEA on different occasions.
Chairpersons of various BGMEA standing committees and senior officials of Industrial Police were also present at the event. At the end of the program, a crest of honor was presented to Abdullah Al Mahmud.
