On 27 April 2026, under the leadership of BGMEA First Vice President Salim Rahman, Vice President Mohammad Rafique Chowdhury and Directors Md. M. Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Shaif Ullah and Enamul Aziz Chowdhury paid a courtesy call on CMP Commissioner Hasan Md. Shawkat Ali and held an exchange of views.

The meeting held detailed discussions on the overall law and order situation in industrial areas ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, ensuring safe transportation for workers, strengthening factory security, curbing extortion and terrorism, preventing conflicts related to the “jhut” business, and the impact of electricity and diesel shortages on production and exports.

During the meeting, the CMP Commissioner assured that no vehicles bearing BGMEA stickers would be requisitioned and that maximum support would be provided to ensure security in the industrial areas.
