BGMEA President Dr. Rubana Huq attends session on Trade Against Tide at India Economic Summit

BGMEA President Dr. Rubana Huq attended a session titled 'Trade Against Tide' at the India Economic Summit organized by World Economic Forum. 

As trade tensions between the United states and China continue economies around the world are experiencing the effects, and the session brought together speakers from diverse industries to speak on the issues.

With Dr. Rubana Huq, other panellists at the plenary session included Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industry of India, Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, Vikram Kirloskar, Vice Chairman or Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Wilbur L. Ross, Secretary of Commerce at the US Department of Commerce. 

With South Asia facing mounting international pressure to open up its manufacturing and service sectors, the region needs to respond to the shifting trade landscape, and this issue was at the heart of the discussion. 

The session is associated with the Platform for Shaping the Future of Trade and Global Economoic Interdependence.
