BGMEA President urges affluent society to alleviate poor’s suffering in winter

Faruque Hassan, the President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), has called upon affluent people to extend a helping hand to those less fortunate during the bitter winter months.

“While many of us are fortunate enough to experience the beauty of winter wrapped in warm garments, there are many who suffer from the bitter cold due to a lack of adequate clothing,” he said

He further said, “It is our collective responsibility to ensure that the less fortunate among us are not left to suffer in these chilly winter conditions.”

Faruque Hassan made the call while distributing warm clothes, including blankets and sweaters, among the underprivileged individuals on the premises of the Safiuddin Ahmed Foundation in Debipur, Thakurgaon on January 15.

He encouraged affluent individuals, businesses, and community members to contribute to this noble cause by donating gently used or new warm clothes.

“Your generosity will make a significant difference in the lives of people struggling to stay warm this winter. Let’s come together as a community to make this season a little brighter for everyone.”
