The 10th Yarn, Fabrics and Accessories show, a focused sourcing event for yarn, fabrics, and accessories started yesterday at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.
Anwar Hossain, Administrator of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), attended the inauguration ceremony as the Chief Guest.
Speaking at the event, he emphasized the importance of diversifying Bangladesh’s export sector to enhance economic resilience and reduce the risks associated with reliance on a single sector.
Emerging industries like footwear and leather, ceramics, ICT, pharmaceuticals, and jute present immense potential to complement existing exports, create new jobs, and unlock opportunities in untapped markets.
To harness the full potential of these sectors, he stressed the need for targeted policy support.
