Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Intertek Consumer Goods Bangladesh on Sunday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
They signed the MoU regarding iSupplier Intelligence (iSI) services and associated capacity building programmes for BGMEA members.
The signing ceremony took place at BGMEA complex at Karwan Bazar in the city.
Md. Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, president of BGMEA and Dr. Karthik ND, GM of ITS Labtest Bangladesh Limited, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
All BGMEA members are to benefit from the iSupplier Intelligence programme to better prepare for the ever-changing business world.
iSupplier Intelligence will help the manufacturers and exporters of Bangladesh towards exploring new business opportunities, increase buyers’ confidence, trust through verification from Intertek’s ‘verified by iSI’ mark, reduce risks, lower costs and ensure higher efficiency.
Under the MoU, iSupplier Intelligence will also provide other associated capacity building programmes at a special rate to all BGMEA members, including Workp-lace Condition Assessment (WCA), Supplier Qualification Programme (SQP), Think Green Initiative (TGI) and Global Security Verification (GSV).
