BGMEA and JAAF to collaborate for apparel industry development
The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and the Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF) signed a MoU to collaborate for the mutual development of apparel industry in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
BGMEA President Dr. Rubana Huq and JAAF Chairman Sharad Amalean inked the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at the BGMEA PR and Media cell in Dhaka on 20 January.
Both sides have agreed to identify how Bangladesh and Sri Lanka can complement each other, especially in the areas of capacity building, innovation, efficiency and productivity in the apparel industry to reap mutual benefits.
JAAF Secretary General Tuli Cooray, BGMEA Vice Presidents, Directors and, among others, were present at the MoU signing ceremony.
