A delegation from Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) on Friday held a meeting with ACT (Action, Collaboration, Transformation) officials.

BGMEA President Dr Rubana Huq led her side in the meeting while a number of ACT members including Jenny Holdcroft from IndustriAll Global Union were present there.

The meeting discussed several issues of mutual interest related to collective bargaining about better price and better wage.

ACT is a ground-breaking agreement between global brands and retailers and trade unions to transform garment, textile and footwear industry and achieve living wages for workers through collective bargaining at industry level linked to purchasing practices.
