A meeting was held between BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman and BEZA Executive Chairman Paban Chowdhury at BEZA office on 25 March.
They discussed the progress of developing a garment park at Bangabandhu Shilpa Nagar.
After the meeting, the BGMEA President handed over a cheque of Tk. 50 crore to the BEZA Executive Chairman for establishing the garment park.
BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir and BEZA Executive Member Md. Harunur Rashid were also present on the occasion.
BGMEA and Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) signed an agreement to lease out 500 acres of land to establish the park at Bangabandhu Industrial City.
