BGMEA leaders pay rich tributes to Bangabandhu on his birthday

Leaders of BGMEA headed by President Faruque Hassan paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, marking his 102nd birth anniversary.

They paid homage by placing a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi Road No. 32 in Dhaka on March 17.

They showed their profound respect to the memory of the Father of the nation and architect of the nation's independence. 

The BGMEA leaders also visited the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum and recalled the memories of Bangabandhu and his eventful life which he dedicated for the cause of Bangladesh and its people. 

BGMEA Vice President Shahidullah Azim, Directors Asif Ashraf, Barrister Vidiya Amrit Khan, chairs of different standing committees of BGMEA and members of BGMEA were present on the occasion. 

BGMEA President Faruque Hassan said Bangladesh emerged as an independent and sovereign country on the world map under the charismatic and visionary leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. 

Bangabandhu not only gave us an independent and sovereign country, he also dreamt of building a prosperous country with economic emancipation and social justice for its people, he said.

“On his 102th birth anniversary we would like to renew our commitment to his vision of building a developed and prosperous Sonar Bangla free of hunger and poverty,” Faruque Hassan added.
