Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has been honored with ASOCIO Outstanding User Organization Award by ASOCIO for using ‘Biometric Identity and Worker Information Management System (Worker Database)’.
BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir and on behalf of the software developer and maintenance company CEO of Systech Digital Limited M. Rashidul Hasan received the award on behalf of BGMEA at ASOCIO Digital Masters Summit 2018 held recently in Tokyo, Japan. 
The Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) is an ICT Federation comprised of 24 ICT associations representing 24 economies throughout Asia and Oceania.
The Barometric Identity and Worker Information Management System (Worker Database) software is implemented with the initiative of BGMEA. It is a unique software system which stores biometric fingerprints, pictures, jobs and other information of the workers. The database provides all kinds of information related to service book, insurance, cash incentive and other services to persons related to the garment industry.
Currently, this software is being used by more than 2300 factories of BGMEA for more than 35 lakh workers every day. Local organization Tiger IT Bangladesh and Systech Digital Limited are providing technical support in development, installation, training and maintenance of the software.
