Bangladesh International Green Summit-2016 ends

The International Innovation and Development Expo-2016, and Bangladesh International Green Summit-2016 ended on 14 March at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Dhaka.
Honorable Housing and Public Works Minister Eng. Mosharraf Hossain, MP, attended the closing ceremony as chief guest while BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir was present as special guest.
Various companies from different countries, including Bangladesh, showcased generators, solar PV & irrigation pumps, fire safety and building construction equipment, LED lighting, heat control and air conditioning systems, eco-industrial products, green technology and services at the exhibition.
In his address BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir said that BGMEA has set a vision of reaching US$50 billion in RMG exports by 2021 and is determined to pursue the goal sustainably.
He said: “Our RMG industry is moving towards sustainably. Already 26 RMG factories have achieved LEED certification from US Green Building Council (USGBC) for their environment-friendly practices and 100 more factories are in process of obtaining the green certification from USGBC.”
He thanked Expo Net and 360 Solution for organizing such a unique expo in Bangladesh.
