Bangladesh apparel sector has been honored as the Superbrands of Bangladesh.
On behalf of the apparel industry, BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman received the award given at a ceremony held in Dhaka on September 1. 
Along with the garment industry, 29 local brands from diverse industries have been named as Superbrands Bangladesh for 2018-2020. 
Superbrands is a global media communications and publishing business with presence in 88 countries. Launched in 1993, it has become the biggest success symbol for brands.
The Superbrands were selected by the brand council consisting of 12 eminent brand experts.
