Business leaders pledge support to DNCC mayoral candidate Atiqul Islam
Business community placed demands and also pledged support to DNCC mayoral candidate Atiqul Islam in a program organised by business leaders titled 'Dhaka: expectations of the business community” on 21 January.
Leaders of apparel sector business associations including BGMEA, BKMEA and BTMA hosted the program.
In her address BGMEA President Dr. Rubana Huq made a set of recommendations including reclaiming illegally occupied land and footpaths, resolving the public transportation issue, minimising air pollution and making Dhaka polybag free.
The business leaders present at the program pledged their support to Atiqul Islam in winning DNCC mayoral election.
